Protamine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Feb 14, 2005. Female patient, 87 years of age, weighting 143.0 lb, was diagnosed with coronary artery surgery and was treated with Protamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure systolic decreased, haemodynamic instability. Protamine dosage: 300MG IV OTO. During the same period patient was treated with ZOLOFT, VASOTEC, ASPIRIN, AMIODARONE, AMOXICILLIN, ATORVASTATIN, BUMETANIDE, CARVEDILOL. Patient died on 11/22/2004.

Male patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with coronary artery bypass What is  coronary artery bypass and was treated with Protamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haemodynamic instability, no therapeutic response, post procedural haemorrhage. Protamine dosage: 450MG ONCE IV. During the same period patient was treated with PROTAMINE SULPHATE, HEPARIN, APROTINEN, STANDARD OPERATIVE PROTOCOL ANESTHETICS, CEPHALOSPORIN, CARDIPLEGIA SOLUTIONS. Patient recovered.
