Pseudoephedrine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Dec 11, 2008. Male patient, 87 years of age, was diagnosed with nasal congestion and was treated with Pseudoephedrine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, asthenia, atrial fibrillation What is  atrial fibrillation, confusional state, flushing, hyperhidrosis, hypertensive crisis, logorrhoea, myocardial infarction. Pseudoephedrine dosage: 120 MG/ 3 TIMES IN 6 HOURS/ ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DIGOXIN, COUMADIN, ATENOLOL, ARICEPT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Pseudoephedrine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Sept 23, 2004. Female patient, child 2 years of age, was treated with Pseudoephedrine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, agitation, cardio-respiratory arrest, coma, hallucination, screaming, vomiting. Pseudoephedrine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIPHENHYDRAMINE, PHENYLPROPANOLAMINE. Patient died on 01/01/2003.
