Succinylcholine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on July 26, 2005. Male patient, child 11 years of age, weighting 79.37 lb, was diagnosed with intubation and was treated with Succinylcholine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, cardiac arrest , cerebral ischaemia, haemodialysis, hyperkalaemia, left ventricular failure, myoglobinaemia, myopathy, pulmonary oedema. Succinylcholine dosage: 60 MG ONCE. During the same period patient was treated with GLYCOPYRROLATE, OXYGEN, NITROUS OXIDE, SEVOFLURANE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, cardiac arrest , electrocardiogram qrs complex prolonged, hyperkalaemia, hypertension, sinus tachycardia. Succinylcholine dosage: 100 MG 1 TIME DOSE INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ERYTHOMYCIN ETHYL SUCCINATE, FERROUS SULPHATE, ALBUMIN, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, AMLODIPINE, RANITIDINE, CHLOROHEXIDINE, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. Patient recovered.

Succinylcholine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. Patient died on 12/15/2004.
