Tretinoin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on June 26, 2008. Male patient, child 3 years of age, weighting 35.27 lb, was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia and was treated with Tretinoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: febrile neutropenia, lung infiltration, oxygen saturation decreased, pyrexia, retinoic acid syndrome, tachypnoea, vomiting. Tretinoin dosage: 10 MG QAM PO; 20 MG QPM PO. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 14 years of age, was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia and was treated with Tretinoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: febrile neutropenia, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, platelet count decreased, renal failure acute, sepsis What is  sepsis. Tretinoin dosage: 45 MG/M**2; DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with FLUCONAZOLE, MEROPENEM. Patient recovered.
