Tygacil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED KINGDOM on Mar 05, 2009. Female patient, weighting 22.05 lb, was diagnosed with respiratory tract infection, lymphohistiocytosis, convulsion and was treated with Tygacil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: intestinal perforation, sepsis . Tygacil dosage: 1.5 MG/KG LOADING DOSE. During the same period patient was treated with SPIRONOLACTONE, SEPTRIN, DEXAMETHASONE, CLOBAZAM, CYCLOSPORINE. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dialysis , disseminated intravascular coagulation, encephalopathy, pancreatitis, refusal of treatment by relative, renal failure, respiratory failure, sepsis . Tygacil dosage: 100 MG LOAD, THEN 50 MG DAILY IV DRIP. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/05/2008.
