Female patient, 75 years of age, weighting 144.0 lb, was diagnosed with essential hypertension and was treated with Verelan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, bradycardia, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent, dyspnoea, malaise, ventricular fibrillation. Verelan dosage: 300 MG, ONCE/DAY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with METOPROLOL SUCCINATE, HYZAAR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
