Xifaxan Side Effects Report #5376541-X
Xifaxan side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from ITALY on June 22, 2007. Female patient, child 12 years of age, weighting 70.55 lb, was diagnosed with intestinal obstruction and was treated with Xifaxan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrial fibrillation , dyspnoea, ejection fraction decreased, myalgia, myocarditis, oedema peripheral, vomiting. Xifaxan dosage: 400 MG (200 MG, 2 IN 1 D), ORAL. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with EVISTA, MIACALCIN, NORTRIPTYLINE, TEMAZEPAM, COLAZAL, PREDNISONE, VIOXX. Patient recovered.

Xifaxan side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on July 14, 2006. Male patient, 54 years of age, weighting 165.0 lb, was diagnosed with colitis and was treated with Xifaxan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dyspnoea, heart rate increased. Xifaxan dosage: 200MG/2 TABLETS TID, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PAXIL. Patient recovered.
